Barcelona and MGMT

This past weekend my friend Jessica and  I went to Barcelona and stayed with my cousin Gabby. Gabby is so awesome and I'm glad we got a chance to reconnect.

Right before the MGMT concert

Jess and Gabby's doggy Leo

MGMT!!!

Everyone in the audience knew the lyrics

Tons of girls ride bikes in Barca. Thought this was especially funny because this girl was wearing a nice full length coat and big bag

Park Güell - like several other buildings and sites throughout Barcelona this park was designed by famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi

It looked like a jungle in the back

Sagrada Familia - another Gaudi masterpiece. He passed away before this Cathedral was finished and he is buried here.

Spanish Christmas markets

During Christmas time there are several figurines of famous people pooping, yes pooping. This Catalan tradition began to remind people of humanity during the Christmas season and not focus too much on the stoic and doctrinal saintly aspects that are depicted in the nativity scene.

Arc de Triomf - Barcelona has a lot of French influence in it's Catalan culture

Really cool back streets in the Gotic quarter

History Museum where you can see Barcelona's ancient Roman ruins

At a cool pub in the Gotic quarter

Hmmm....questionable architecture

Yummy Argentinian empanadas :)

Stopped in for a drink at this divey gypsyish bar

A small crowd having a jam sesh in the bar

Las Ramblas

Famous Saint Josef market

I just had to...

Barcelona Cathedral

Inside History Museum

My first paella in Spain...it was delicious
