The day before Christmas break the kiddies lined up on the playground and handed the "Reyes" their Christmas wishlists. Rather than receiving gifts on Christmas day everyone gets their gifts on Día de los Tres Reyes Magos which falls on January 6th. The Galician Xunta organizes a decked out car to come around to all the schools to collect wishlists and pass out candy. The kids were so excited! I wish we did something like this back home.
